2016-17 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD

Haha.. Spurs beating Harden at his own game, giving him the 3pt shot without fouling... he's air balling them right now.

LOLOLOLOL ...

lmao wut?

We want to act like Exum is possibly better than mack and neto but we saying Danny Green sucks?
Fixed.

Green is shooting horrible from the field (worse than burks this year which was burks career low) never ever ever gets to the line, is not a playmaker, doesn't rebound, is an ok shooter and ok defender.
His contract isn't horrible though (10 million per year for a few more years) and he isn't too old (29) so we could do worse I guess.

I will pass though. Agree to disagree on this one.

If Danny Green is an OK defender, the DPOY candidates are no better than slightly above average

Gobert and Draymond are 1 and 2 in Defensive rating and DRPM. Danny Green is tied for 12th in def rating, and outside of the top 40 in DRPM. Looking at his advanced stats, like st%, blk%, opp fg%, etc, Danny Green seems like a very good defender, but I wouldn't say elite.

Eyetest, drop stats. Danny Green absolutely plays defense at a level, where he's got hyper awareness and really good instincts/decision making.

I would say good to very good is fair... elite is.. laughable.

Like when I think 'elite' I think you're top 10 in the league at that particular skill set or ability.

Not sure Danny Green is a top 10 defender in the league, stat wise or eye test wise.
