Allen Crabbe
6'6 Wing out of Portland (enugh size to guard 2's and 3's)
10 ppg
46/39 shooting % splits

Dynamic scorer who can both hit the 3 and all areas of midrange. Has the length to be a plus defender. He plays on Portland and I always want to overpay for a Portland RFA to drive up the price.

What cost are we willing to pay? What cost does is Portland willing to pay up to?

He's a restricted free agent, right? If so we will have rover pay by a lot. Portland's owner what's his name is known for reaching deep into those pockets. Wouldn't hurt to make them overpay for once though.

Would it work to play him and Burks at both wings, or maybe a triple wing some on the second unit.

Yes, did you not read the post where I addressed all these things?

And I don't think Portland's owner is known for his willingness to spend on the Blazers. If anything I think he is known for being wishy-washy on his commitment to the team. I know a few years ago he wanted to sell the team.

I do know he is one, if not the, richest owner in the NBA though. Steve Balmer of the Clippers might be worth more, but that is the only one that comes to mind.

YES, YES, YASSSSSS KWEEN!!!

I always thought Paul Allen was pretty willing to spend. Perhaps I am just assuming so because he's another Microsoft guy and I remember the Jailblazers of the early 2000's just having a bevy of players. But I completely agree with you. Allen Crabbe would be a great pick up.

If we could get Allen Crabbe and Jon Leuer this offseason, I would be tickled pink. I also don't think Dante is going to be ready this season but not sure if you go pick up a pg better than Shelvin. Could be pricey (cost you picks, players, etc.).

I don't know. I've tried to look up how many times the Blazers have been in the LT and havent found any good sites to tell me (havent looked hard though). I know the Blazers were the ones to sign Kanter to a max sheet this past off-season. They currently have the smallest payroll in the NBA.

They have a huge extension kicking in for Lillard next year though. They have some other role player names on RFA who should draw some attention: Harkless and Leonard. I'd assume they'd want to make some kind of splash in FA to sign another top level player and thy have to think about retaining McCollum in next year's FA.

Just saying, remembering when they attempted to **** us with the Millsap offer. We need to do the same ish to them.

Yeah I can't remember either haha. I completely agree with you man. **** the Blazers. It would be ever sweeter if we could actually get Crabbe at a reasonable salary.

The way I see it: Portland strikes out in FA and isnt able to sign any of the big targets they want. They don't feel bad as they have some good RFA, then Utah comes in makes them way overpay for Crabbe. They don't want to go into next season with a worse team so they sign him at all cost. DL laughs as the Jazz get revenge for them stealing Wesley Matthews and ****ing with Millsap.

I wouldn't mind having Leonard or Harkless either.

Off-Season Plan: Make Portland overpay for all their bench players.

Loser try to mess with someone else roster instead of improving their own...
Dynamic scorer, Well I guess we have a different meaning of that phrase.

He is a solid player. If you like him so much just draft Tyrone Wallace in second round. Has better ball handling skills.

Tell me more about Wallace...

I think if Dante needs another year, it doesn't matter because we won't be ready to challenge for the championship next year, but I think Mack has shown he can hold down the fort and help us get at least a 5 seed, especially having Burks back to play the three wing unit, and we don't have the injuries we had this year.

Tell me more about Wallace...

He is nothing like Crabbe. He is a tall PG who can't shoot and isn't good enough to be a PG in the NBA.

Their only similarity is they both played at Cal.

Please refrain from quoting ncolorado. I have him on ignore and enjoy not seeing a word he types.

I miss our arguments.
