The Minnesota Timberwolves are actively shopping point guard Ricky Rubio in trade proposals, league sources told The Vertical.

The Timberwolves have attached Rubio to multiple offers with Shabazz Muhammad to several teams around the NBA, league sources said. Minnesota has been seeking something of a “bridge” guard in return, a player capable of starting in the short term, but who’ll ultimately settle into a backup role and give way to rookie Kris Dunn to become the long-term starter, league sources said.

They arent going to give him away for free. It would have to be a first round pick. But do you really want to pay Rubio 14 million dollars in each of teh next two years?

Might as well throw in Neto too because he's completely useless if Rubio's here. Trading for D. Rose would be more ideal.

Rubio is a dang good player, would love to have him here as the backup guard/free agency insurance. We'd have to send out long term salary to make it feasible though... One of Johnson/Burks/Diaw along with Mack/GS pick? Ehh, not sure it gets it done.

I wouldn't mind Rubio as a backup, but I'd rather have each of JJ, Burks, and even Diaw. And, there's no ****ing way I want to pay Rubio for the remainder of his contract. No way.
