2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

On the back of what he's done recently you'd have to be pretty dumb to still support Harden's bid...

It's like Westbrook went into the 6th gear these past couple weeks. He da real MVP.
I'm with you; he's running away with it in this final stretch. Just curious if there are still people advocating Harden after witnessing Westbrook demolish history.

But there will be people saying "Oh Harden injured his wrist last week, he's not 100%" .. blah blah blah...

Well Embiid is not gonna win ROY this year cos of injury too. Big deal. Sometimes if you missed games, you're just not going to win the end of year award, it's as simple as that. Durability is also a factor.

Russ is the MVP hands down imo, for me it's who has the best statistical season and who does the most with the least.

Well this is the thing. Next years draft u have this better crop of 7'ers who can play PF.. It's been widely reported the Lakers and Paul George have a ton of mutual interest.

If you're talking about George being like the final piece to the rebuild, I think, ideally, I'd rather have the last big lotto pick be Mo Bamba(DeAndre Ayton, **** even Mitchell Robinson..) next year even over Lonzo Ball this year, as their fanbase is so desperately hoping for...

Yeah it would make sense even though it's foolish to assume PG13 is a done deal(Would he play 2-3 there?)
If they don't want to tank this year I don't think you can plan to tank next year. I'd be very surprised if they started shutting down players then. I'd be more surprised by such a move than a huge jump in performance of young players 'figuring it out'.
A D'Angelo - PG13 - Ingram - Randle - Insert random top3 '17 center here starting lineup would be quite impressive though.

My money is on Harden for MVP. He elevates his teammates so much with his playmaking, kinda like Dirk. He's living at the line and finds guys open looks left, right and center. When he struggles, the whole team looks bad as a consequence.

What an epic season for Westbrook. I think it is obvious that he'll win the MVP.

Is there still anyone who thinks Harden deserves MVP over Westbrook?

I still vote Harden. It should be CO-MVP's, thats not gonna happen. Both are deserving, I wont complain if Westbrook only because he's been able to close so many games out in devastating fashion.

James Harden is really the better basektball player tho, If you're building a team in today;s NBA u take Harden 99/100 times IMO.

Its funny how royally OKC ****ed up.. they had all that HOF talent slip thru their grasps.. They did it to themselves.

Ibaka is the one they should've let walk... they ****ed up. Shoulda TRADED him for a top pick in an upcoming draft and roll the dice for a few years, yet another example of why prudent 'snowballing' of assets can solve team-breaking issues..

Westbrook - Harden - Durant as the 123... u can find some bigs who wanna play with them LOL.. what a disaster.

They've got a 1st rd pick in this draft too in exchange for Lou Will. they;ll have some cap room.

The Lakers aren't dumb, the old regime left them a very strong foundation and if/when they miss the top 3. This dagger from D'Angelo will be a factor, with it, hopefully, he's claimed the PG spot for years to come, and there no top pick for Lonzo Ball..

I really think the Lakers would be smart to take Jayson Tatum top-3 if they got the pick but thats a different story.
