2017 Annual JazzFanz Current Players NBA Draft

I honestly can't recall the last time someone took longer than that or even came close.

But we should point out that we're looking for people who are active on the forums on daily basis. We'd rather not wait 12 hours every time.

I think the clock should be off on the weekends.

Why? Should it only be on during the weekdays, from 9-5 Mountain Time, with an hour off for lunch?

We're in the 21st century, and are actually discussing this on a Sunday night. Is there anyone participating who doesn't have internet access on the weekends?

This. Seems silly to stop on weekends. We all have phones and takes a minute to make a pick, and u can also send a list of picks to Fish if u know you won't be available to make a pick.
We could make it work with 20 teams. Maybe, the final four teams of the all-time tournament get a 1st-round bye? We've done something similar to that before.

How is a bottom 20 team supposed to compete even with a first round bye?

What are we thinking as far as a tie-breaker goes?

Whoever gets the most votes from the other teams in the competition or have a three person committee who doesn't vote on any of the matchups?

Any other ideas are also welcome.

This to me works best.

Tiebreaker: Before the competition starts select 3 people to be the tiebreaker. They vote as usual but in the event of a tie their votes will carry more weight.

In this scenario, you'll generally know who owns the tiebreaker before all the votes are in and no extra time is needed to decide the match-up.
