According to Bill Simmons,

Russell played with four members of the NBA's Top 50 at 50 (Havlicek, Cousy, Sharman, and Sam Jones); Wilt played with six members (Baylor, West, Greer, Cunningham, Arizin, and Thurmond). And Russell's teammates from 1957 to 1969 were selected to twenty-six All-Star games, while Wilt's teammates from 1960 to 1973 were selected to twenty-four.

Russell's teammates had 3 things going for them:

1. A great coach.
2. Continuity.
3. A team leader who was devoted to winning.
 
How the **** did gandalfe get that roster? I dont see how he doesnt win the whole thing.

@silesian didnt even get Gandalfe’s second round pick. Looks like Gandalfe only had to give a third and fourth round picks. Silesian pretty much threw the contest for himself and everyone else.

Your whining is precious. You could have had Bird and Magic by making me a better trade offer that included your second round pick. I posted that Magic was on the market and you sat on your hands. I also didn't want his second round pick Bill Russel on my team Gandalf acted, you snoozed. He wins you lose. You are an idiot.

Besides, Gandalfe's entire second team is from rounds 8-10. And it is still better than yours. Brains, you know.

First, I wouldn’t make the trade you offered me because even with the first pick I could never bring myself to pick MJ. that trade just to pick anyone else isn’t worth it.

Second I didn’t want to give away all my early picks as that’s the funnest part of the draft. I’m not 100% sure, but I even think I told you that was why I didn’t want to do the trade.
