2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

Why does everyone think Clippers have a better offer than Lakers?

Draft picks are dependant on how strong the draft class is, no?

Don't Kuzma and Ingram have more value?

Honestly I think it might be pressure from the rest of the league about the back end dealings that the Lakers and their agents are doing. It's been happening for years now in the league, I think its hit a boiling point.

Besides, the Lakers offer will be just as valid 30 games from now at the end of the season. There isn't really a need for the Pelicans to trade him now, there is a need for the Lakers to trade now though

Yeah but I'm curious to know why many here thinks Clippers are now in the running...

Simmons
Redick
Butler
Harris
Embiid

whewww that's pretty nasty. Imagine if Fultz gets it together and either becomes 6th man or slots into Redick's spot when he gets too old. Or becomes another big trade chip.

So next year philly can make salaries work but what about when Ben needs to get paid? After next year 4 guys on max deals?

One ball... already had issues with sharing... feels like there is more to this... maybe Jimmy leaves them.
That's how I read it. I don't think Butler returns. He's already had issues with Embiid and confronted the coach. I think he's gone this summer.

Lol this is a bit clickbaity. Lowe said theoretically the Jazz would be interested in a trade and they would be interested in free agency. Also said he thinks teams have called for Harris and got shut down. He also said that if he were the Clippers, he would be a seller at the deadline since getting the 8th seed isn't really worth losing your 1st round pick over (owed to Boston).
Not so shut down or clickbaity?? lol
I'm sure Utah offered some packages too albeit nowhere near as attractive as PHI's final offer.
Not enough assets!! Well, I guess this is what happens when your ******* #1 guy walks away for nothing taking you a prisoner in the process.

No, it happens when you use 5 draft picks (2 for Burke, then Exum, Hill and Rubio) trying to get a PG and end up with one who can't shoot consistently and one who hasn't proven much except in the eyes of a few staunch homeboys. It also happens when you sell pick after pick instead of finding a few rotation players in the 2nd round. It happens when you have a ton of cap space year after year but don't sign any free agents that could later be tradeable assets. Don't blame Hayward. I hate the guy, but a lot saw that coming. And very few GM's arrange for trade exceptions when they're about to sign free agents.

The blame is squarely on the back of Lindsey for wasting a ton of assets, for not doing a proper rebuild by keeping Utah in the late lottery for all but the Exum pick. And for keeping Utah at or near the bottom for payroll for 4 years running. And this past summer...had a chance to use the MLE. But instead signed Niang who is not a prospect. And instead of getting Niko, kept the pick and drafted Allen, who also has pretty much zero trade value.
