We're going to be in the same scenario, same seed, with the exact same team 365 days from now. Kinda bums me out but I'm coming to terms that this is who we are. Once Gobert and Donovan leave for a team that wants to win a championship(thankfully we have a while) we'll just start the cycle all over again.

Hasn't it been essentially this since the end of the Stockton & Malone glory years?

Utah is either a team that fails to make the playoffs or gets in with the fifth seed and bows out in the second round, generally in a non-competitive series.
