Klay Thompson's name will drop in stature losing with the Jazz and live in BB history winning Championships with Golden State if they hold Durant/Curry /Green/Thompson for a couple more seasons.

He left Oklahoma City to Houston. On the topic of market, do I need to finish this thought?

Harden was also, what, 23 or 24 at the time. He was also the primary ball handler in the second unit on OKC. Klay is ~30 and not tasked with creating shots.

Harden also didn’t “leave.” He was traded in one of the dumbest trades in league history by a shameful ownership group.
 
How attainable is Grant for the thunder?
I think he would look great with the jazz.

But he’s a shot maker and the perfect fit in Utah, where he’d probably get more looks and opportunities like Reggie Miller at Indiana. Miller carried his team, and maybe Klay wants that same opportunity. He’s won chips, and maybe he’d like to do the same.

Klay’s skillset and age doesn’t at all suggest that he could carry a successful team. And nobody is getting him better shots than the ones he gets in GS. Could he get MORE shots elsewhere? Sure, but at significant cost of their quality.

Any shot Klay takes is a good shot, just like Miller or Korver. More shots is better and make him ascend.

Read on twitter that some find the idea of the Jazz moving on Jrue Holiday after an AD trade very interesting.

Not a rumor. Just seems like people spitballing. But interesting.
 
Jrue's 3s are a little harrowing. 31% this year and 33% last year. At 26m a year he isn't exactly a bargain.
Bledsoe might make more sense if he comes 10m a year cheaper.
