2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

I remember Tony Jones saying the Jazz were interested, but I think every team drafting from 14 onward was interested. People were understandably reluctant to pull the trigger since he had stress fractures in both of his feet when he was in college.

If Locke didn't say it then it doesn't matter... when it comes to the draft anyway.

Getting the bargain version of Niko in Bjelica would have been so damn good for us... address other needs with the big money.

Assuming we miss on Tobias and Middleton.. I think we may be better off going with a premium/pricey option at guard/wing and getting a stretch big on the cheap.

Would be nice to use our pick to get a producing guy that addresses those needs on a rookie deal. Only option I could think of was Taureen Prince and he's been hurt most of the year.

I think Utah with Allen because of the athletic upside.

Nah... Allen will be alright and Shamet ain't super special.

Kurucs is the guy I'm sad about... I didn't know anything about him prior to draft so not blaming DL at all... just think he is super unique and could provide a lot of what we needed going forward. That's the draft doe... crap shoot sometimes.
hitting 8 3s in a NBA game is pretty special. Allen honestly reminds me of Trey Lyles. Doesn't really have a NBA position(too short for shooting guards and lacks lateral quickness/court vision to play the point) and does not do one thing at NBA level. Except this time I don't think DL can throw him into a package to trade up in the draft.

or just draft DeAndre Hunter, if he ends up in our range. If not, trade up.

I think Grayson will have a role in the league as a shooter with a few intangibles. Think Marco Belinelli with a bit of defense. He plays hard, shoots fast and has decent IQ.

He measured at 6'7" wingspan and was expected to be near 7". Along with his sub par athleticism, probably was enough for DL to pass on him.

If they are sending a first for Lin/Ross they are also sending a bad contract imo... so with Porty Leonard or Turner... NO would send Hill.

Just my guess.

Lin, likely. I don't think so for Ross. He's an expiring. Plus his numbers are nice this season.

I can't see a trade for J-Simmons as the numbers are a bit complicated to make the trade work.
