2019 Trade Deadline Discussion

The most depressing part of this thread, a player like Satoransky being considered a key target for next season.
I know Sato quite well from the Spanish league. There he was a good player but,of course the level is not the same that in NBA. Sato is physical for the spanish league not nba. Of course is tall for a pg and can jump ( reminds me physically to hezonja) ,but is not so fast( comparing to nba average players). His defense is average if not less, he can pass but is not a very good passer, his dribling is average and for a good defender is not so difficult to steal him the ball ( specially cose his high bouncing) . He's not a shooter, sometimes can shoot sometimes not. My opinion, he could be a good back up pg but if you (the Jazzfan )are looking for a future and good or great pg, Sato is not your man

His game has developed significantly since the Spanish league though. He is now shooting 40% from three two seasons in a row and has a 3.45 A/T ratio(top 20 in the league), both indicating the opposite of what you said. And we don't need a players who's so good at dribbling that he is gonna take the ball out of Mitchell's hand anyways. He only needs to be "good enough" at handling the ball when Ingles/Mitchell take a break. And when both do come back onto the court, he is more than capable of standing in the court and knocking down those corner threes when he is open. I've watched enough of Sato’s game this season to realize that he is everything that we are looking for in a PG.

In regards to his age, don't forget both Goran Dragic and Kyle Lowry weren't much of stars until they turned 28.
