I seem to remember you trading a player who you chose in an earlier round for an upcoming pick, because there was a player you had to have (Laimbeer, maybe? it was months ago), that you could have just picked in the earlier round. But I'm mostly just busting on you and I like your team a lot.

I give you credit, your team makes sense to me and is not just a hodgepodge of great players thrown together. You did not default to "best player available" but rather drafted to a team concept. So as much as I like busting on you, I must say, nice job. Who knows if it would work, I'm just saying I get it.
Dude I never realized how much joy it was for you to criticize my idiocy. I’m sure this draft was just one huge mistake gone horribly wrong. I’ll try to do better so things can get back to normal:)

Beer has more elite talent but his team is oddly constructed. LeBron and Barkley are the best players on the court. Although KG is a close third to Barkley.

I trust a team lead by LeBron a lot more than KG.

The SG really hurts beer though. Melo was good playing with stars in the Olympics. But he still can't defend much Ray Allen would have a lot of open shots. Melo could isolate and beat him up but beer said that won't happen. That's a big negative spot. Then the bench with Camby at the PF and arenas at SF.

Just start Skywalker.

Nash/Penny
Skywalker/Arenas
LeBron/Benoit (another lol)
Barkley/Carmelo
Howard/Camby

Beer has clearly better players (LeBron above all) but Idk how they will fit together (and, personal opinion, Carmelo is a flew)

Thee put together a very nice team, a mix of bad boys, great defenders plus Manu and Ray Allen (two players I especially love)

It's close but I think Thee would win by hook or by crook.

Beer cannot spin that Barkley was a good pick for that roster. Not to me, anyway. It hurts to see. Plug in any given good shooting SG and that's a beautiful main lineup. I feel like he could've won this all but got sloppy on picks (Benoit? Camby?).

Thee needed more spacing. Obviously, that frontline is absolutely sick on defense, even going through the whole big rotation. That kind of rim protection, switchability, rebounding, and nastiness is just mighty AF. I don't get the Isiah pick. One of the most overrated players of all time (for most of his career he was sub-20 PER and his +/- was underwhelming), and like most in his era, not a spacer. Pippen's pedestrian shooting is worth everything else he brought, but if you're gonna have him, KG who for some reason didn't/couldn't shoot 3s, and Ben Wallace who is a 0 on offense, you HAVE to really load up on spacing at the guard position. I love Manu and I think Jrue Holiday would actually be a nice fit in a contest like this so I guess you could make Isiah the bench guy but that doesn't appear to be the plan and that's a waste of a good pick.

Both have huge strengths and frustrating selections. Both are interesting builds. I guess that's what these contests are.

I think Beer's passing brilliance, insane open court ability, and relatively decent spacing would be enough to outscore Thee and win in 5 or 6 games.

I thought about drafting Chris Paul, but felt Thomas’s playoff success was more valuable, along with the tough minded defensive attitude was more valuable than Paul’s shooting. Feel passing is a wash along with playmaking. Felt my defensive minded philosophy would match Thomas better. Thomas proved to be clutch come playoff time. Also I know KG wasn’t a three point shooter but he could hit from the outside out to 20ft, and a great passer from the high post.

My team has every bit this as well. KG and Pippen were long athletic finishers with great playmaking and passing instincts as well as Allen and Thomas. Allen, and Pippen could run the offense just fine as well plus my team defense is better by a mile. Not sure how you come up with that conclusion

Probably should have gone with Drexler at that point. I agree.

I dont see a problem with the Barkley pick there. Prime Lebron was a SF, Barkley is a PF/C. Lebron didnt want to play PF in his prime, so forcing him there like many do in this makes him worse. Plus it wears him out playing defense and grinding inside. Personally I would have taken Moses at that point but I still like the Barkley pick. I think you should have grabbed a solid SG with the 4th or 5th round. Honestly I just think you need to redo your roster though. Melo starting at SG is losing you votes.

If @Beer started a better lineup with the same players I would have voted for him. But I had to vote based on his lineup. So @Thee is probably keeping his vote from me.

You mean started a player or two from his bench?
Yes, Skywalker would be much better starting at SG or even Penny. Penny wasnt a great 3 point shooter but he hit open shots and his playmaking was amazing. Thompson could shoot but wasnt a big part of his game or the game in general then.

Lebron has to play at SF. Putting him at PF in his prime is a bad decision.

Steve Nash
Carmelo Anthony
Lebron James
Charles Barkley
Dwight Howard

Penny Hardaway
David Thompson
Gilbert Arenas
Marcus Camby
David Benoit

Team Thee jazz fan

Ben Wallace // Bill Laimbeer
Kevin Garnett // Bobby Jones
Scottie Pippen // Alex English
Ray Allen // Manu Ginobili
Isaiah Thomas // Jrue Holiday

Nash - Isaiah: This is fairly even maybe a slight advantage to Isaiah but Nash is a better fit for Beer
Skywalker - Ray Allen: At their peak this is fairly even. Allen is the better shooter but Skywalker has advantages as well.
Lebron - Pipper: Obviously this is Lebron
Barkley - KG: This is advantage Barkley but its close.
Howard - Ben Wallace: This is kind of close but still advantage Howard.

Bench is a big advantage for Thee but that is less important. Beer would have to tighten up his line up, but that is expected anyways.

So really with that lineup there is almost no starting advantage for thee. But with the lineup posted it gives thee some advantages and an awkward lineup that struggles to work together for Beer.

I think Beer was too worried about a shooter next to Lebron at SG. Lebron needs some shooters around him but does not need that much. Also Lebron really likes Melo especially in his prime so it would be an okay fit if he came off the bench.

No I am thinking of changing my vote. I assume Beers team would adjust its minutes to make it work. Sub out someone in the starting lineup soon and bring in a SG off the bench. Even Prime Agent 0 could come in soon. He could shoot well and play next to Nash.
