Totally agreed, and IMO that's the cause of Penny for instance wasn't selected at the 1st/2nd or 3rd round even if in his first years was awesome

Peak years was the original statement. Plural. Doing it for years and years is evidence a player was spectacular and a great season wasn’t some anomaly.

For better or worse, I think a player's overall body of work impacts how we perceive their peak.

We’re doing this for fun. Don’t overthink this. How great were your players? That’s the bottom line. How great they were in your opinion and how, your 10 guys, collectively would measure up against opponents. Have some evidence to back it up if you want. I rarely choose to get that into it.

Like there are two American players yet to be taken who very well might’ve been taken in the first round had their careers gone differently. Instead, one will go late and the other might not be drafted. Heck, there’s a chance they both don’t get drafted.

Yeah, one I'm thinking of will likely go in 8 or 9. He was so good that even his short, crippled body of work deserves discussion. Heck, there's a European from the same team who fits into that, too, altho for the opposite reason.

It really is easy to understand.

It’s not rocket science. Player A. who’s been all nba 5+ times is probably better than player B. who’s done it once
