Not really a fan of Greg Brown, but he'd be a good pick in the later parts of the 2nd round (40+). He's probably even more athletic than JT Thor, at least when it comes to power and burst vertically, but he doesnt have the wing skill-set potential that Thor has.

Well we could just ask Tony if this list is coming several months after the fact or if it was based on things he learned at the time of the draft. @Tony Jones?
His career - in effect - revolves around protecting the reputation of his sources. All he has to do is take what his sources tell him and report (selectively) that to the media, without criticism or serious questioning. His sources do not have to be honest with him, he does not have to call into question what they are telling him, and both are incentivized to maintain this dynamic (the team gets to leak info that puts a favorable spin on reality, Tony gets to have his scoops). The cherry on top is that if Tony knows unsavory information that he knows explicitly or assumes implicitly hurts his relationship with his team sources, then he can choose what to share and what not to.
That's a rational thing to do in his position, but I don't really trust Tony to do something that runs contrary to the aforementioned.

I read you before when you made the same argument. Are you telling me that answering this question would compromise him in some way? (Perhaps it does, but I'm not seeing it right away; sometimes I'm obtuse.)
I'm simply saying that information that he shares that puts a favorable spin on reality shouldn't be trusted since sharing unsavory information (which he may not have access to) would not be a rational personal/professional decision for him.
Put me in the camp that lol'z at the idea that they were high on every player that's hit in the NBA, but that they drafted the only dude that very much did not (and had no chance to, more importantly).
Well my point is that I remember buzz around the Jazz in November regarding Bane, McDaniels, and Tillman (I remember especially since I wasn't personally so high on the latter two; I'd be a terrible drafter). So I don't find it illogical to think that those three were in the mix along with Udoka at the time.

Again look back on the reports the Jazz were very high on Lu Dort… then look at us buy three picks and draft three non Dort players.
And what is logical about reaching to draft a 3rd string center with no chance to see the court? Are we also supposed to believe that they weren't high on other players that haven't hit? It reeks to high heaven that someone in this chain of information is cherry-picking, if not outright lying. The only thing we know for sure and the only thing that matters is that the FO made the most illogical choice they could've.
I'm not sure I can trust hindsight reporting from the FO's chosen mouthpiece.
For what it's worth, Jones was tweeting a lot about McDaniels pre-draft.

So this is actually a thing they have tried to push? That is straight-up pathetic. If true, it actually makes them look stupider, but I don't think they understand that.
