I was awarded the bid but still have to wait for all the back filling to occur. Im thinking it will be many months before I arrive on my actual dayshift.

Yeah, I was going to make a proposal for the next contract that after 90 days of being awarded a bid the company would have to pay an ongoing penalty until you're moved to your new position. I understand backfilling and all that, but they have zero urgency and it is often just as good to move you to the open position you bid on then to hold you in your current position so that it isn't open. If it's worth paying a penalty because of "needs of the business" then so be it, but there should be some compensation.

Ya its pretty lame. Last move I made took over 8 months.
