2022 NBA Draft Thread: We Going to Have a Pick! (lmao jk)

Sochan is simply one of the most complete players in the draft and one of the youngest.

There's no weakness in his game right now outside of ranged off the dribble jump shots. I just have a feeling he's going to put it all together and be a near all star caliber player.

He shot 47% as a big, including under 30% from 3pt and under 60% on FTs. He averaged 9p and 6r. He's possibly the best defender in this class, but to say he has no weaknesses seems a reach. He shot 36% on catch-and-shoot opportunities, so the hope is that part of his game will translate well enough to not hold him back too much.

Kuminga got tape from legit HS como and GLeague. Not the same **** as playing in a no competition HS division where your team let's you play every position and do w/e because your 10 levels above everyone else, no AAU, no legit foreign experience.
Played for Canada's younger national team and in the NHS, lol.

Like I said, only off the dribble ranged shots atm.

He shot 58% from the field on twos.

And he's not a big. He's a 4/3.

Sorry he isn't Vrenz Bleinbergh, the guy who was supposedly better than Porzingis in last year's draft but was complete *** on a bad Spanish ACB team

Dude, no one said Vrenz Bleijenberg was the next Porzingis. He was a potential 2nd-rd prospect last year who could play in Quin's system. Nice deflection tho.

Exactly. I legit have no idea why he would have Sochan anywhere near the top-5 lmao let alone top-4.

Ivey
Banchero
Chet
Jabari
Murray
Sharpe
Griffin
Mathurin
Duren

Those are all guys I would take before him and all guys that will be better than him. Sochan is closer to late lottery than top-5 lmao.

Every time I watched Baylor which was a lot I legit would not think Sochan was a lottery pick. He was bad in a lot of big time games particularly. That’s not great.

In what world is a dude who averaged 23.5 PPG on 55.4% from the field including 40% from 3 and 8.7 RPG considered a worse prospect than Jeremy ****ing Sochan. I’m legit laughing out loud let alone 10 spots in between them.

Yes, because college stats are always directly translatable. If college player X had better stats than college player Y, they are automatically better. That's how the draft works.

Don’t kid yourself of course stats aren’t the end all be all. Have you watched much of either this year?
