2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

I cannot risk Mikal Bridges ('22-'23) going off the board.

There isn't a two-way player that can shoot left on the board as good as Bridges. No flaws, always in the right place at the right time making the right plays. Thrives both as a complementary piece on a team loaded with guys that need their shots or as THE guy. We saw all of that this season between his time on the Suns and Nets. Premier defensive player that can switch 1-5 while being able to put up 20 points on .600 TS% (his TS% actually went UP with his usage after the trade which is basically unheard of).

Great pick. Love his potential. Really wish the Jazz would’ve gotten in on that trade when it was going down. Imagine if they could flip Sexton or THT/KO plus draft picks for Bridges now.

George - Sexton/THT - Dunn
Bridges - Clarkson - Sensabaugh
Markkanen - Agbaji - Fontecchio
Collins - Hendricks - Samanic
Kessler - KO - Yurtseven

It's fun to dream. I think the Nets knew to some extent what they were getting, though. In hindsight, you can see there is clearly another gear there from his time on the Suns.

Mikal Bridges is somewhat of a weird pick because he only had a great half of a season. If he wasn't traded to the Nets mid-season, nobody would've picked him even if the draft went 20 rounds.

Still a good pick of course, now that we know what he can do.

I don't think it is weird at all. In this format you are picking him for his role player attributes and he was a great defender and spot up 3pt shooter for the suns.
