2023 JazzFanz Annual Current Players Draft

On any other fan board Walker probably goes in the 80s
I don’t doubt it, but then again - every other board is going to overdraft their rookies who were top 3 in ROtY the past season and also expect a bump in production from them as a full-time starter as well.

When I look at starting 5’s, I think Walker’s upside is more intriguing than almost any of the other young guys out there, and outside of my top 5 rated guys (Jokic, Embiid, Davis, Adebayo & Sabonis) he was the one I liked best for the team I’m looking to build.

Going before Rudy is a little wild... even for here. I do think he could really level up this season though.
I’m not going to name any other guys that I was looking at, but most of them have age or injury concerns.

There’s two guys that I think should be rated over Kessler, but they’re not the right fit for me.

Walker is a force on defense, and good enough on offense to be valuable. I think he’s going to be great as the full-time starter this year.

Lauri probably goes in the 30’s on other fans boards as well. Just shows that means absolutely nothing.

But he’s the most popular jazz player and will get extra votes for sure so I think there’s a bit of a difference but I also think that’s a fine spot for Walker to go in a team building exercise

What's more surprising is Irving falling to the 30s. I know he's a total ***, but he's still a great player.

30s is about right for him.

He's not a top 20 player. You over drafted him to go with a super-star pairing that already was a proven failure. He should have been closer to the late 30's/early 40's.

That is my complaint about him. Not that he’s over seas or has a life. He just does whatever he wants and can’t be bothered to be considerate to just check before bed.
