His shooting might be miserable, and even though he's a stellar playmaker in OTE, I'm not convinced it all translates to NBA schemes. There's risk there. Anyone can push and drive the ball in a pickup setting. Nice grab-and-go athlete though. Amen could turn out to be amazing, but there's a lot of risk for a team like Orlando that just needs to add a ball mover to set up the talent they already have.

The Pacers love Taylor Hendricks. They need shooting and a secondary rim protector, and he checks those boxes. I think they might be trying to trade down because they feel like they can get him later, but for this I'll just take him at 7 for them.

that's how i feel regardless. two things 1) the guy you move up for might be there at 9 anyway, and 2) the guy you would have taken at 9 could very well be as good or better than the guy you move up for - the guys available from 5-9 are just so close - it's a crapshoot on who goes where and who ends up the best. just doesn't make sense to lose an asset to move up from there, imo.
Very interesting. Thee could have easily traded up to 7 for Amen but he fumbled that opportunity.
