2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I haven't either, would be an interesting project. It does seem like there are a lot of guys in the NBA who had red flags, but it's easy to forget the one's who didn't make it.
Perry Jones, Jared Sullinger? Or am I remembering wrong?

(Edit: I guess I'm slow on the reply here, as usual)

Any mention of Cam's medicals? Like, is that really a thing?
I don't think there was, but (and take this for whatever you think it's worth -- I'm taking it mostly as Tony's personal opinion) he was kind of down on Cam as a prospect generally. Compared him to Al Jefferson in the sense of likely producing 20 ppg for years without any real contribution to winning.

I'll admit I'm getting spooked about Whitmore. Have heard (was it Walden, or Peek? -- can't remember any more at this point) that reports are that he's been very up and down with his workouts -- great for some and not so great for others. If this is tied to the medical in any way, maybe it's best to go another direction if he's there? Would hate to have someone who's already trying to manage chronic knee soreness, for example (I know, I'm speculating), as the key get in this draft.

If he's there and the Jazz pass, I'll trust that there's some things we don't know that went into the decision.

Here's my thing with Fischer, we don't here jack **** from this dude all year until the off-season then you hear from him non stop because he drops the spiciest rumors.
He literally had a weekly pod and drops his rumors notebook regularly… closer to transaction cycles he gets more prominent. His info can be dated like some rumor mongers but he gives it pretty straight… he’s got a dry sense of humor I appreciate and has a different less polished way of giving the info. He sometimes gets pieces of the story and doesn’t connect everything perfectly but I don’t think he’s a guy that makes **** up. Just will give it straight cuz he doesn’t care that much about getting aggregated.

How long time does the draft usually take? It starts at 01:00 (or so) here in Norway, so sitting up for it isn't really going to happen, but I guess checking in a bit in the early morning could happen..

I don’t think Gay would be in there. I think it would just be KO and would help them open up some of their exceptions. I think he was just making salary match.
I think if the Jazz are taking back bad salary they’d love to offset that with dumping Gay though. And I don’t think they take back Bertans and send two first rounders and Olynyk just to get to 10.

I’d love to do this trade and also figure out how to trade a future first with 9 to get up to 5. If we somehow came away with Walker and Bilal, that would be incredible
