2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Interesting, Tony said Cam Whitmore's college coach doesnt even like him and may be hurting him in the draft process.
See... that's what I was saying... it may be that he is an ******* behind the scenes.

How did they send a pick swap twice lol they sent one to Brooklyn already.
Philly is involved in the '28 pick as well.

2028 first round draft pick to Brooklyn (swap, Brooklyn or Philadelphia incoming)
Brooklyn has the right to swap its 2028 1st round pick or, if conveyed to Brooklyn, Philadelphia's 2028 1st round pick for Phoenix's 2028 1st round pick [Brooklyn-Indiana-Milwaukee-Phoenix, 2/9/2023]

That Philly pick is 1-8 protected, so it's hard to see Brooklyn swapping it for the Suns pick, but I guess it will be like our pick from the Royce trade this year. Brooklyn gets the best, Wizards the next and Suns get the worst.

If Detroit won't play ball with the Jazz at 5, then the options are:

1) Try to trade up to 7 with Indiana for Coulibaly.

2) Stay at 9 and take Hendricks.

3) Try to trade up to 12 or 13 for Bufkin.

Right now, everything hinges on what Detroit decides to do.

No those are not the options lol. We would not trade up to 7 for ****ing Bilal it would be for Jarace most likely.
I doubt Indiana trades back with Jerace still on the board. If they do trade with us it would be for a player or future picks. They don't want any more picks in this draft. Latest I heard from local guys was that they were looking at #7 for Hunter. I thought that kind of made sense for both teams.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted to trade down for Hendricks though. Black might be gone at 6 so it would likely be for Jarace.
