2023 NBA Draft Megathread

The conclusion is No Ceilings sucks. Brice at 9 is horrendous.
Yeah, they’re a hype mill more than anything. Their videos don’t really even show weaknesses on prospects. I think it’s a conscious decision to curry favor and to grow that way.

I’ll peep it because I’m a junkie and need a fix but they also are take artists to ginny up attention, I’m pretty sure.

They also have Anthony Black at 15 which is comedy.

If I'm being honest, that's in the range I have AB. I'm giving Black the nod over Sidy Cissoko due to Black's ability to initiate. Otherwise, I see them as similar athletic, defensive-minded 2/3s.

If Black can't make shots and defenders back off him, I don't think teams will want to put the ball in his hands.

Black is a top-10 lock.
How is he a top 10 lock when he makes no sense for the Mavericks? If he falls past Utah, why would Dallas take him? Does Dallas want a non floor spacer development project next to Luka? This is what could potentially happen when we are talking about the jump Hendricks has made into the top 10.

ANd then if he falls past 10, why is Orlando taking him? They want another questionable shooting guard prospect to pair with Fultz and Suggs?

And then it's OKC. Does OKC want him when they have Giddey/SGA?

Then you got Toronto. They could potentially be a Black team, but maybe Toronto wants to reach on extreme potential in Bilal or GG Jackson. Or maybe they stick with their roster and are looking more towards immediate help and want a shooter like a Hawkins/Jett Howard.

Then you get to teams like New Orleans/Atlanta who are going to be drafting more for need than most other teams as they are trying to break into contender status.

The possibility of a team reaching for Black is about the only way someone else in the top 8 is going to fall to the Jazz, so I'm all for it. I want to see if the Magic will reach for Black or Wallace. Orlando could end up at #7 or #8 after the lottery.

Anthony Black reminds me of a slightly smaller Scottie Barnes. I don’t see him as a lead guard but more of a wing who can play defense and has the ability to score. I also don’t know what Black’s wingspan is going to measure at but I would guess 7’0-7’1.

Let me rephrase. He won’t fall past 9.

You have every right to have your own wrong opinion my friend.

1. Wemby
2. Scoot
3. Miller
4. Amen
5. Ausaur
6. Hendricks
7.Whitmore
8. Black
9. Walker
10. Dick

Not in a specific order, but that seems to be the general consensus top 10. That can easily change if someone decides they want a "safer" PG in Wallace, if someone wants the elite shooting of Hawkins, if someone buys the pre-season ranking of George, or someone really has a love affair with the potential of a GG Jackson.
