This draft falls off in the 20s. If I can get GG Jackson or Cam Whitmore at #6, then get Keyonte George at #10, followed by Baba Miller, Jarace Walker or the Proctor kid at #19, I'd rather go that route.

If it's possible to trade the two picks in the 20s for #19, then it's probably better to get Scoot or Amen at #2 and the best wing/big available at #19.
 
At 6' 1" Scoot would have to be best ballhandler, best passer, exceptional defender,
quickest, fastest player in league etc to consider taking him
 
Sorry but there really is only one player in this draft, worth intentionally playing bad line ups, even after trading 2 allstars for picks and younger players in a rebuild.
They should be in the late lottery at best, staying on this path they are on now, so they will have their chances at a top spot, but the difference between 4th and 8th won't be much different than most drafts. The issue is if you are at 12 and cannot trade up with one of your 3 picks combined with it.
 
Watching the alabama scrimage and Miller is going to have a hard time getting touched with that guard dominate squad.

Like some have said Jazz and most other teams need 6' 8" type players at all positions

It does go back to the discussions around if a short(er) guard can be the #1 guy on a championship team. Seems most people believe he cannot. I think it is possible, but he has to be pretty damn special, and the supporting cast must be above average across the board. But history is not replete with 6'2" guards leading championship teams. There have been a few, most prominently Steph Curry and Isaiah Thomas. But that is a pretty big drought in between. And even they had top-tier talent around them. Curry plays with a perennial DPOY candidate and another elite defensive guard with length who holds the record for the most points ever scored in a 3rd quarter and can carry the load by himself when he must in Thompson. Is this guy on their level? And Steph wasn't even finals MVP even one time until last year, those others for GS were Iguodala and Durant.

So I am sure he will be a great piece to have, but will he be worth a #2 or even #1 pick with franchise player in mind? And if that is the case, what are the odds we luck into the same type of supporting cast, even a level or 2 below, that GS has had with Steph? That is the debate.

Donovan was a 6'-1" guard with a 6'-10" wingspan fwiw. Personally I prefer not to have a small guard as my franchise player as it's just alot harder to build around that guy. This is a big wing league so I'd take the 6'-8" player assuming he's on a similar tier. Danny saw that in 2017 when Fultz and Lonzo were the 2 "can't miss" prospects but traded down for Tatum and got more picks in the process.

As mentioned by @LogGrad98 it takes alot of luck to build a championship team around a short guard. Warriors got so lucky when Steph had ankle issues his first few years so they resigned him on a bargain contract. The cap jumped another year and they were able to sign KD in FA. They lucked into Draymond in the 2nd round. Steph provides so much gravity and Klay was the perfect compliment. It seems almost impossible to even think about copying that model. Even CP3 has never been able to be a #1 on a championship team despite having some very good players surrounding him during his career.
