2023 NBA Draft Megathread

Yes, because teams really value one dimensional scoring out of Eastern Michigan
Yeah because he wasn't one of the most highly rated prospects in the country prior to skipping his senior year of high school to join Memphis. You just can't help yourself from being *** can you?

I think I’ve decided to only use exaggerated comps where guys are either superstars or trash based on if I like them or not… get ready for some big swings.

Emoni Bates with the huge game tonight. I would put money on him working his way back into the lottery.
He showed he can score and it didn't hurt that the Jett choked going 2-8 for the Wolverines, but more importantly Bates can defend some now, so he will be back in the draft consideration range if he can get stronger. Lottery? maybe but I am leaning towards not yet. He was arguably the worst player in Memphis history before the transfer, So considering all the hype that surrounded him, it is nice to see he backed it up a bit at last.

Shooting is there. I don't see the handle or explosiveness to be a superstar right now.
There are no superstars in this draft imo outside of maybe 3 long term and 1 of them is a freak none of us have probably heard of yet. Sans really good draft luck the Jazz are not getting one of them unless they make trades with dumb GM's who do things like trade for 1 and draft Fultz instead of the guy who was better.
I bet The Jazz can find a gem with Danny at the helm, there are some nice options in this draft that should be legit starters. But superstars? nah

Ranked for HS/College. He hasn't been a well regarded nba prospect since he was 15.

That is a crazy statement. He wasn't even remotely close to being the worst player in Memphis history. He was actually pretty solid to start the season prior to his injury. Once he came back he played a few games and then was injured again. I think he has Brandon Ingram upside so I can't wait to see how he develops this year.
