2023 NBA Draft Megathread

I'm also starting to be higher on Cason Wallace. Think he could potentially be a top 8 guy, maybe top 5 guy. There is a lot of obsession with the bigger wings in this draft, but PG"s of his two-way caliber are hard to come by.
Only watched live for like 3 minutes and he did like 5 things that were impressive. He's doing **** out there.

He's tough, plays hard all the time, he defends and he pushes the ball. He fits the proverbial Danny Ainge type.

I don't think Sexton is really a high-level point guard. He's a score-first guard who likes to drive to the rim. He's not a guy who makes reads and quick decisions.
Yeah I don't see him making very many reads either, in the way he has been used here, and agree his decision making is suspect. However, I think it is a lot closer to being realized for him that it looks on tv.
If you listen to him on the floor, he is a coach out there like any pro guard.

Sexton has leadership qualities, for sure.

He does not have vision or feel for what's going on outside of him scoring.

I don't agree. I know its the show. But he has the tools and passing chops. He did it on occasion, albeit rarely in Cleveland since they always were having him looking to score, feeding him not visaversa. He has shown it, the vision, the feel etc. Didn't have it I don't think in his first couple seasons, he was raw then, but has it now.
I don't see him doing it at all here outside of establishing some chems. He is not a natural at it for sure. I think until some of the vets are out of his way, where they need it from him. Hardy clearly is wanting him to slowly transition back to being a starter or 6, and has not put any pressure on him to be a playmaker at all yet.

lmao. They did not ask him to only score and not pass. That's the biggest copout BS excuse "scorers" use when asked about their piss poor passing.

Kevin Love and the vets hated him for how bad he was at passing.

I remember seeing that and thinking damn that Beilein gonna get fired for that one and he did. Sexton is a score first guard everyone knows that. The issue is he needs to be
a point guard on this roster, at that salary to justify not trading him.
I think he showed his ability to run the offense and share the ball a few times when all the playmakers were hurt, and that is enough to say he can do it.
Why you screaming and posting vids hating on him based on poor intel is beyond me, except you are you.

Screaming?

The dude is not a good passer. You arent providing any kind of supporting facts that point to him becoming a good, or even better, pass than he has been. He has no passing feel on the court.
