Staying at 9 our worst case scenario is starting to look like maybe Walker.

I would take Hendricks and Black over him comfortably.

It’s still Black for me easily… but now it’s at the “that wouldn’t be so bad…” level.

GG at 28? If Hardy thinks he can make a real difference, otherwise I would trust Ainge.

That said, I do think a player like Rudy Gay is like one of the few players in the league that could reach someone who has a lot of personal issues and help them grow.

Thank god it took us till the end of the year to start actively tanking, otherwise we might be stuck drafting Wemby. Wouldn’t that just be terrible.

I was pretty high on him till I read all the negative posts about him. I may have to revisit him. I’m also starting to soften on Black if he’s an elite passer and playmaker then he needs to at least be considered. Watching Joker last night opened my eyes to this. That offense run through Joker is so smooth and works on all levels.


If I were Orlando I’d only do it for the wolves pick.

If anything we are hosing Orlando and that deal. We are getting two very good picks that are considerable upgrades to our picks in terms of what type of talents we can get. If Danny were to pull something like that off the rest of the front offices would be up in arms just like after we raped the wolves all over town. If you are the jazz you say yes before they have a chance to change their minds.

Of course the Magic would want the Minnesota pick because the potential for the Wolves to suck is there. I am not a fan of the trade because the Lakers could suck then too. I would only consider it if the Cavs pick was included.

It is weird to me that this is what convinces the GG Teflon folks to jump off the bandwagon… no excuses like the workout was too hard or he ate real heavy or he tanked the workout out of loyalty or Gary Parrish just hates him cuz he doesn’t have an agent. Cmon… stick to your convictions.

LAL pick probably gets us to from 9 to 6 and another unprotected pick(MIN or CLE 2025 probably gets us from 16 to 11)

Since my post you quoted said he didnt answer my question and we are talking about cy I will assume that he didnt answer my question even though it would have been easy for him to. It would seem that you know the answer to my question (whatever it was) as well, yet also didnt answer it. I find that weird. When someone asks me a question I just answer it.

Jarace wont be available unless he has bad medicals, and there is a great chance Hendricks goes one pick sooner if they dont want to pay Kuzma.
Grady Dick is not going in the top 10.
I think Black will be on the board, if they like him, But imo we will not pick him over a higher upside front court option or a potentially elite off ball shooter. You can essentially get the advanced more proven version of Anthony Black, at 16. with Andre Jackson Jr.
I mean if you really want that archetype, thats the guy you take and maybe even get him at 28.
This idea that Black will somehow be the pick is a joke imo. The scouts that love him, are the same one's that hyped him up expecting more, and have done nothing but make excuses for him since.
They will die up there and everyone stupid enough to stay on the hill with them.

Man someone in they feels. Just thought it’s hilarious that last week Givony was biased and his reps didn’t setup the right pro day and none of this was GGs fault… plus he had the plague.

Him tanking a workout is completely consistent with like the 15 other red flags you zoomed past… how is red flag 16 what takes him from #9 to second round? I mean he prolly did it on purpose cuz he doesn’t want to go to that team.

What I have always heard about black is that he loves the game and puts in extra time. I think we could do far worse at 9. Seems like a high character kid as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone takes him before 9. That inevitably will push one of the front court options to us……or if ausar was passed on him. Wouldn’t mind moving up from 9….but at the same time I feel like we may get good or equal value at 9 standing pat. Doubt we give up our future for portlands pick.

Again, I never said Givony was wrong. I said the inclusion of the measurements stuff made it personal. Like GG refused an interview/video thing DX does and I still believe that.

And again, being out of shape is one thing. Being immature is one thing, but the stuff Parrish described is next level in terms of the headspace this prospect is in.
