2023 NBA Free Agency Thread

Why by Thursday?
The trade exception lasts a year from the Rudy Gobert deal, which was on 7/6. If they don’t use it by then, they lose it. I wouldn’t be surprised in the least bit to see an unexpected move by DA to use the trade exception before they no longer have that option. As long as they operate below the luxury tax, they should use their trade exception and their room exception. At least that’s my opinion.
 
Wasn't sure whether to even post this because it's probably just bs, but there has been a little smoke around the Bucks and Sexton. Just take it with a grain of salt.

Yeah, I'm pretty comfortable calling BS on that. Their '28 isn't tradeable straight up. Like others have said, they can do a swap, but I don't see that deal happening at all.
