This draft is weird. I don't get it. The projected lottery has guys with crappy field goal percentages who barely score 10 points a game and the end of the round has hidden gems like Kel'el Ware - a legit, defensive center who can score and hit threes or Hunter Sallis who can defend on-ball pretty well and is athletic and efficient on offense.

Ware isn't a hidden gem. How much do you know about him?

Pre Madness Board
  1. Alex Sarr
  2. Dalton Knecht
  3. Isaiah Collier
  4. Zacharie Risacher
  5. Nikola Topic
  6. Kyle Filipowski
  7. Jakobe Walter
  8. Cody Williams
  9. Reed Sheppard
  10. Rob Dillingham
  11. Stephen Castle
  12. Ron Holland
  13. Johnny Furphy
  14. Matias Buzelis

Maybe I will finish the rest later. Getting past 20 is rough.
i have basically zero issues with the order that top 14. that's bonkers. i might throw dillingham and sheppard at 7 and 8 and move everybody else down (maybe as high as 5 and 6), but otherwise nothing significant (buzelis over furphy, but i'm not that high on either guy). castle, walter and williams are mostly coin flips for me. williams hasn't done jack **** since January, but was damn good the previous two months. castle has been underwhelming on offense all year, but stellar defensively, and walter has been the most up and down game to game over the course of the season.

also, i wish we could have seen a full season of holland - he might have earned top 5 status if he could have kept playing. as it is, i think 10-12 is about right.

the are both very interesting. 15-25 range, imo, for both.

It didnt add the numbers but this was a quick review of who I like. I am still doing research and watching videos. this list is fluid and in order of how I like them. (All jazz related)

Risacher – It is all about the defense and shooting. Position versatility is next.
Sarr – Defense with shooting potential.
Topic – With his size he can play alongside George or Sexton
Williams – Has great potential at a positional need.
Sheppard – Debated going hirer but I love the IT factor here.
Knecht – Defense was OK when I watched but his scoring versatility is top tier
Holland – Would draft on potential and defense
Castle – Defense to play alongside George one day.
Dillingham – Have to draft on talent alone make trades later.
Filipowski – who wouldn’t want an Olynyk clone.
Walter – His defense is his calling card. If the shot falls again wonderful
Buzelis – I should put Dillingham here but buzelis offers some great
Chomche – I love his potential
Tyler Smith – I love what is said about his work ethic and shooting
Collier – been playing a lot better and has good size for a PG
Furphy – Has good potential shooting and tries on defense
Shannon - All comes down to the rape case. Love his talent.
Salaun – just not sold
Carter – On and off with him
McCullar – Ogbaji 2.0?
Dunn – Drafting on defense alone praying he can learn to shoot league average
Kolek – Just has an all around game
George – all about the potential on positional size

Huh? Now I'm confused.

Ware is not hidden, because he's well known. He's not a gem, because he's been extremely disappointing. He's kind of the opposite of a hidden gem.
What about him is disappointing? The solid defense? 16 and 10 a game while shooting almost 59% from the field and 42.5% from three?
