Boban is very skilled and has shooting touch too... and he's coordinated too... Just to be clear - here are Boban's per 36 numbers in the league - 23/15/2 ... if he could just stay on the floor he would be a great offensive player in this league.The more I watch Zach Edey the more I think everyone is just seeing 7'5 and comping him to Boban and other huge tall slow guys when in reality Edey is much more skilled, coordinated, and athletic than the dudes he is usually comped to. Combine the fact that he has enough touch from the paint and FT line to have believable spot-up jumper upside along with the fact he's played basketball for about half the amount of time as his peers, I think he's being highly underrated and would be a great fit in Utah next to Lauri and Keyonte.
We will see how athletic and mobile Edey is when he actually is put on a floor with NBA athletes with skill. I just think that profile of player has serious limitations and he will have real trouble defending starting lineups in the league. But if he could... I guess I agree with you, he might be the steal of the draft. I just don't see it working out defensively.
