Why was there so much reporting about Fears getting drafted here? Agent manipulation, as it really didn't make sense. So glad we went with Ace.

My last hunch is that it's a smokescreen. Just... seems very unlike this Jazz FO to have the pick leaked like... 3 days before the draft. This just looks so much like something they would say if they wanted to convince the teams behind us that they don't need to worry and don't need to try to trade above us to take another prospect(like Ace for example).

He should fire his representation for allowing him to drop to 5 without his preferred team trading up for him.

His representation got him to the best situation for him. That gives him a chance to get starter minutes day one. Gives him an opportunity at ROY.

Totally agree - posted in a hotnickky thread about that last night. Same tactic he used with Hayward, just applied to the draft. Ruthless.
