I was shopping in the jazz store beneath the delta center and Sloan was in there shopping as well. I went up to Sloan and told him he should give giricek minutes to deshawn Stevenson. He just said something like you can do that when you get the coaching job.

Im not old, so I have no idea who this is, but he had some unreal defensive advanced stats.

Averaged over 2 blocks and 2 steals per 36 minutes.

Like just looking at his stats, how did Scurry only last 4 years in teh NBA? Yeah, his offense sucked, but like nearly every non-star player's offense sucked in the 80s. Dude was a beast.

I do remember enjoying when Scurry played for the Jazz. They obviously saw something in him, I guess the defensive chops you allude to. But then he pretty much vanished.
