2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

Pass, we would be looking at another 3+ years to rebuild with that.

Also, we have a problem not playing young talent over vets at the moment anyways.
We would be losing a "vet" and not gaining any vets in that trade

Golden State calls and offers Draymond (buyout), Kuminga, 26/28/30/32 firsts for Lauri. Are you having a meeting? Need more? Swaps?

Not interested in trading Lauri for picks at all?
I'll pass... would need some language for the 2030 pick but I think they owe it to the Wiz if its past 20.

Maybe if it was earlier in the season. Then you at least get the losses from the tank. Its not crazy bad though because the picks should be good/okay starting in 2028.

Yeah, they could trade the 1-20 portion of it.

We’re in a great spot when we all agree (myself included) that we should pass on 4 unprotected firsts at the stage we’re at.

It’s gonna require something like that to pry him away at this juncture and I’m still not sure I’d do it.

I’m ready to be done with this awful chapter and we really won’t be ready next year if we don’t have Lauri.

Whether or not I do it or even consider it starts with whether the team has the guts to tank the way it needs to to finish out the season. If they do have the guts, I probably just keep Lauri. If not, I probably trade him for something so outrageous.

On the particulars: They can keep ‘26 and ‘32 if we can get super swaps on ‘27, ‘29, and ‘31 instead. My reasoning is that the whole point of making that trade is to not allow them to reap the rewards of strategic tanking in the post-Steph abyss coming down the pike.

But yeah, it’s gonna take something like that at this stage.

It's less that we are in a great spot (not that I think we arent). I just have zero interest in blowing up a rebuild as we get to the end of the painful part of a rebuild.

It's time to play the hand we've been dealt and stop folding

Then they should’ve sent him a max offer sheet four years ago instead of whatever the **** they were doing with John Collins.

That might’ve stopped the Doncic trade from happening BTW.
The Spurs had the cap space to do the same. Not sure why neither team did.

GS should just give the two firsts to get MP jr.

They are so damn picky and indecisive for a team that is light years ahead of the league.

Reaves
Keyonte
AJ
Lauri
Kessler
Ace

That’s an insane top-6 and a playoff team next year.
