Hmm, maybe we really like the him or he's going to be part of another trade. Unless it's Giannis or the relationship is broken I prefer to keep him. He's a great big man duo with JJJ and we have lots of versatility especially come playoffs. We don't really need extra late round picks over a legit starter or possibly more.

I dont really understand the garland for James swap on the cavs side but I love it for our picks chances later!
They solve 2nd apron repeater problems for 2027-28 with this move, and Harden givens them equal or even better chance to compete these next 2 seasons. There is a lot of beef here for the Cavs.

I love that if Garland pops now that he can probably have the ball more, then this might screw OKC and others who own Clippers future picks/swaps.

I was the first to claim they actually love him and see him as core piece, despite the failed contract negotiations.

They didnt get the cap space benefit from delaying this due to JJJ deal, but the logic was that we had a chance to take extra salary next offseason before we are forced to tie up the money to Walker. Being able to take in more salary than you send out is actually super valuable in this apron era. Good teams retool all the time and if you can help them create space then you dont need to use as many assets in that trade.
