Neither was Favs. He was more of our backup 5 than starting 4. I don't see why Ed Davis can't play a similar pseudo starting role.
I’m going to have to read more about it. Favors at least attempted threes, though.

I like it as a 3rd big guy but I'm with the crowd who's unsure about him starting at PF.
Because he has even less ball skills and doesnt have the perimeter defensive mobility.

He will just get subbed out and have Ingles coming in at the 4 spot for the majority of the game. Basically what Crowder did for us
The only reason Favors started was because he could defend the perimeter and the Jazz felt like they had to to keep him engaged.
They signed Davis to be a backup center. THat's what he's going to do.

Just stating what I think could happen. Not saying that I think this is a good idea. I'd love to see Jamychal green at the 4. Not Ed Davis. But probably not gonna happen at this point.

Err I’d argue zero drop off in perimeter D from Favs to Davis from what I’ve watched.
