At #6 in the all-time Jazz ranks:

Games: Greg Ostertag (700)
Minutes: Thurl Bailey (20523)
Points: AK47 (8411)
Rebounds: Thurl Bailey (3881)
Assists: Jeff Hornacek (1895)
Steals: Bryon Russell (728)
Blocks: Ben Poquette (517)
3PFGs: Jeff Hornacek (439)

In their 6th season (1979-80), the Jazz weren't 6th in anything as a team. But Robert Smith played in 6 games, Andre Wakefield made 6 FGs, Greg Deane had 6 rebounds and 6 assists, John Gianelli had 6 steals, and Allan Bristow had 6 blocks. Coming into the season, Bristow and John Brown each had 6 years of ABA/NBA experience. The Jazz lost their 6th game of the season and went 2-1 when playing on the 6th. In games decided by exactly 6 points the Jazz went 1-2.

In their 6th season in Utah (1984-85), the Jazz were 6th in league in 3PAs and opponent assists. They Jazz won their 6th game of the season and went 3-1 when playing on the 6th. In games decided by exactly 6 points the Jazz went an impressive 5-2.

The Jazz had 6 losses when Frank Layden resigned as head coach. This led to the promotion of Jerry Sloan to head coach, the 6th in franchise history. Sloan had previously served as head coach of the Bulls. He got his 6th loss with the Jazz on December 23, 1988 against the Heat. John Stockton had 6 turnovers and 6 rebounds, and Mark Eaton fouled out with 6 fouls.

Coach Sloan got his 6th win with the Jazz on December 30, 1988 vs the 76ers. Mark Eaton and Marc Iavaroni led the way for the Jazz with 6 points apiece. Thurl Bailey added 6 FGs (on 17 attempts).

Edited to fix a ridiculous error.

Houston we have a problem...

I might be going out on a limb here but I am willing to bet that Sloan had at least 6 wins with the Jazz before 2008.

Jay Humprhies was traded to the Jazz from the Bucks (with Larry Krystkowiak) for Eric Murdock, Blue Edwards, and a draft pick used to select Lee Mayberry. The trade went down on 6/24/1992. Some 6 connections surrounding the trade include Krystkowiak spending his 6th NBA season with the Jazz, Blue Edwards getting almost 6 (5.7) win shares in his first season with the Bucks, Eric Murdock getting 6.1 win shares in his first season with the Bucks, and Lee Mayberry making his NBA debut on November 6 with the Bucks.

Back to Humphries. In his last season with the Bucks, he had a very good year and averaged 6.6 assists and had almost 6 (5.8) win shares. In his first season with the Jazz in 1992-93, Humprhies mostly came off the bench after having started for the Bucks and as a result his PER went down by 6 (16.5 in 1991-92 to 10.5 in 1992-93). Humphries had 6 turnovers in his 5 games with the Jazz in the 1993 playoffs. His per-game production slipped a bit in his second season in Utah although his PER stayed about the same.

In 1994-95 Humphries didn't see much action with the Jazz. Over 12 games he averaged 6 PFs and 6 FGAs per 36 minutes. On February 3, 1995 the Jazz traded Humphries and a draft pick used to select Junior Burrough to the Celtics for a returning Blue Edwards. Humphries ended his NBA career by playing 6 games with the Celtics in 1994-95, putting up a nearly 6 (5.8) PER. Burrough's NBA career consisted of one season with the Celtics. In one game he made a career-high 6 FGs en route to scoring a career-high 13 points. Blue Edwards averaged 6.6 ppg with the Jazz in 1994-95 before being selected by the Grizzlies in the expansion draft on 6/24/1995.

Howard Eisley was discussed back in the 10 day countdown thread as he wore #10 in his first stint with the Jazz. Eisley signed with the Jazz on November 3, 2004 after being waived by the Suns on October 29, 2004. In 2004-05 Eisley averaged almost 6 (5.6) ppg on almost 6 (5.5) FGAs per game. Eisley went scoreless 13 times that season with the Jazz winning 6 of those games.
