6 Million Dollar Swimmers

Easy on Hihgland ya'll. He didn't mean any offense.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Good on ya taking the high road.. cuz I know you would have defended us just as we did you.

Absolutely I would have.

Highland PMed me an apology. Just my way of acknowleding that he did.

We jokingly tell people we are putting a naughty kid up for e-doption on EBay.

That's funny. I do the same thing. I've never referred to it as e-doption though. clever

I tell my kids all the time that they are adopted. I say this because I have been adopted twice, my wife once and my oldest is not biologically mine or hers.

Are you guys going to consider aborting? Sounds like neither of you want a kid.

Good hell you're an egregious tool.

Maybe my sarcasm detector is broken or I can't understand English, but the post implied that. I wasn't trying to be contentious but it is an option for unwanted pregnancies depending on how early into the term it is.

Well, thanks for clearing that up.

Has he ever not meant offense? You're a better man than me, Stroked.

Congrats man, I think. I wish I could have one more.

Oh for the love of the Gods no. Never. No more. None. Done done done done done.

I only have two though, and really enjoy having little ****s to play with.

I'm with you, I have just seen the hell that emerges when they get out of the little **** stage and get fully into the big **** stage.

Kinda like if you hook up with some girl when you both get blind drunk at a party, then take her home and see her standing up to pee later on.

I'm just starting into this stage. My oldest is about to turn 12 and she thinks shes 20. Put her hands on her mom the other day. I damn near ripped her apart.

Yeah I had to teach my kids early on that I will not hesitate to take them out if they mess with mom in any way like that. My wife is a product of a very bad home growing up so she has had problems enforcing discipline, since she doesn't want to feel like she is just becoming her dad, which has made it rough for her with the kids as they feel they can walk all over her. So I step in as needed and have made it very clear that I will not hesitate to resolve the issue if needs be.

Oh she knows better. Her mom and I are not together anymore but I still will not tolerate any disrespect like that towards her. She's my childrens (2 of them) mother and my friend. I've driven 40 minutes to lay down some law for that before at a moments notice.

Respect is something that you have to earn, but it also must be taught to kids, imho. I think kids are kids, and really they cannot see past the end of their own noses, we were all the same really. So they do what it takes to get what they want, basic human nature. If they find that making mom feel bad gets her to give in, then they do that more and more, a learned behavior. We have to help them see that what they want right now isn't as important often as what they might want or need later on, and teach them the right behaviors that will help them get what they really want, it isn't some natural progression and they don't naturally have a "respect" instinct, other than for self-preservation. They have to learn to respect others, and themselves, in order to get along in ordered society.

Dude, you can borrow mine any time you want. An hour with #4 will cure you soooo fast your head will swim.

This is what I am dreading. I got #1 when she was 3 and she was a nightmare. Just cold and looked at you in this way that scared people. F avorite movie was texas chainsaw masacre with Jessica Biel. Kid you not, she watched it like twice a day. I put a stop to that when I got there.

#s 2 and 3 are mine biologically and were as easy as hell. They both were happy and friendly babies. Easy to break of those baby habits (bottle, binki, blanket...) We even call #3 our little hippie because when her hair isn't done she looks like a little stoner.

Worried #4 will be a difficult baby.

My babies are hard. They have reflux really bad. But my kids are pretty chill for the most part. But #4 is just super active and easily bored. He has literally been swinging from the kitchen chandelier, several times. The drawer under our oven no longer closes all the way because he uses it as a ladder to climb on the counter. He turns three pretty soon and we keep hoping he'll outgrow it.

My #2 is that way, she hasn't outgrown it yet (she's 7) lol. She wakes up happy and going 900 miles an hour. I've just learned to direct her not stop her. She has had a concussion, two broken arms, stitches, staples, road rash, knocked out tooth, dislocated finger...she just keeps going.
