That is the question...
Assuming that all of the tier 2 players we have discussed have the potential to become an all-star (Gordon, Randall, Vonleh, Smart, Exum).
Assuming that we don't pull off a trade up or down.
Assuming that any of the players will impact at least one of our current young core.
Which of these 5 is the best player available?
 
You know the going is tough when Hotttnickkk is putting pie in your face. Thriller is getting the tough business.
 
I have quite a bit of anticipation for this years draft. With KOC it was kind of depressing knowing that it was a wait and see who fell into the slot. It was too predictable.

Dennis Lindsey was like a magician last year. Improving his draft position and getting the players he targeted without giving up very much. Makes me wonder what he is capable of this year. Makes me worry that he set a high expectation last year that may not be repeatable this year.

Because of the Lindsey factor I think I am going to skip the ESA draft party this year and watch at home with the Jazz radio guys on and the computer at hand.
 
Vonleh is heading to Philadelphia to work out for the 76er's. Interesting!
Could they be considering trading back? Doesn't make sense otherwise...unless they think they can also move up from #10 by trading Thaddeus Young.

The question is who is the 5th best player?

Usually, by this time, we have some idea. Usually we know who the jazz are really interested in. Right now I can see them making a number of different choices.

I suggest going with the prospect who has the biggest hands

Usually we know who they're interested in? No we don't. The Jazz have one of the most leak-proof offices in the league.
 
MUST GET JABARI!

But I have a feeling Exum may slip to us. And I don't feel like I know enough about the guy to say if we should take him at 5 or not (if we're unable to trade up). If Exum slips to us I can totally see another team wanting to trade for him and willing to make it a good deal. I think he's the one player who can fall to us who other teams will really, really want.
 
I have a pretty strong hunch 76ers would take Vonleh at #3 and won't look back. They are lacking a PF right now and Vonleh has just enough "potential" to keep Hinkie interested...


Cavs - Embiid
Bucks - Wiggins
76ers - Vonleh
Orlando - Jabari (laugh all the way to the bank)
Jazz - Exum....
