No one else does this.. I'm not sure anyone else is still capable of it. Everyone on the "realist" side shuts down the thinking and labels the ideas impossible, or ignores that there's a problem in the first place. Everyone else on the dreamer side(myself included) become disenchanted with trying to find a way to inspire people to want society to be in what they perceive as a better place, slowly bringing us further to the middle.

In this regard, we should all be more dalalike.

Lol. Perhaps you didn't read what I posted. I wasn't slamming Dala for his ideas or ideals. I was disagreeing with his attitude and voicing what I saw with him. If you truly have read my posts and don't think that I want a better life for all people, then perhaps you should just stop reading my posts anyways. Like I said earlier, we differ on methodologies but want the same end result.

I'm not convinced there's an ultimate right or ultimate wrong... but getting everyone on the same footing sure seems like the direction we need to go. Not everyone can win the lottery, not everyone can create that first thing, not everyone will have the balance of luck/knowledge/skills to be "a big deal". And that's ok. What's not ok, is driving those that won't be any of the above further and further towards destitution; ignoring the problems that are steering "everyone else" away.

Free healthcare and cheap if not free higher education are NP problems; Given the answer to check against, we know they're possible and can see that in a relatively quick amount of time. Especially where money is in such abundance here in the states. The longer time goes, the more models of this we see out there thriving, It'll be P.

I digress. I think most people would agree that(financials aside) those two things(Healthcare, Higher/better education) would be best for society. We, as humanity, have produced insanely brilliant minds. Einstein, Newton, Tesla.. They're out there. Why aren't we turning to these types of people, the brightest of each generation, and asking them how to make it happen? You know... instead of those folks that believe the Earth is Flat, or don't believe in climate change because the amount of CO2 that's deadly to a human hasn't been reached on the ground, but have enough money to higher the smart people to focus on making them and their ideas look good?

Perhaps you can't read between the lines as well as I'd hope. Not surprised, and that's not a reflection on you, but me and how I express myself. The concept that I was trying get you to grasp: after being stretched further than anyone I've read on the board, I'm not surprised when and if he goes off on someone once in a while.

Aaaaaaaaand Burlington College, whose President was Bernie Sanders' wife, closed due to excessive debt. But don't worry. She got a 200K severance package.
