I just happened to come upon the HBO documentary, A Courtship of Rivals, about the relationship of Bird and Magic. Great movie. Interesting how they developed their friendship. They actually played together on Team USA before they met in the NCAA final. Bird hated Magic for years, despite "Earvin's" attempts to befriend him. Well, watch the movie. They are very close now.
