What's new

A great day on Jazzfanz

Hey fish,

I was banned when this all took place, which makes me sad. You're one of the best all-time posters around here... probably the dude I'd most like to drink beers and watch a game with in real life. Congrats on the baby!

If there's going to be another purchase, would someone pls PM me? tia

Thanks NAOS. Much appreciated.

PM me. I'm gonna purchase one last batch tomorrow. If anyone else would like to contribute, do the same. PM me today and I can give the person my info and get funds by tomorrow and order the stuff by tomorrow night.

fishonjazz, one of our own, will be a first-time daddy soon enough.

Holy ****, dude. FOJ, well done, sir. At least you are not shooting blanks! I am very happy for you and yours. Here's to a complication free pregnancy and beautiful baby boy/ girl.

Start working on those instincts, good sir.

It's the strangest thing, Fish, as you'll soon discover. You don't have to work on those instincts at all, they just come naturally. You will care more about the safety of your child than your own. For example, one day I was carrying my daughter in the winter. I stepped on ice and slipped. Instead of trying to catch my balance like I would have under any other circumstance I twisted around so that the baby was on my chest as my feet flew up into the air, and I landed on my back, hard. I hit my head on the concrete. My little girl thought it was both fun and funny. She wanted me to do it again. It hurt like hell but all that mattered was that she was safe.

Same thing happened to me in a parking garage stairway that was wet and slick. I had shoes with good traction, but the rubber compound on the stairs didn't complement the rubber on my shoes and made me lose traction. I went down hard and wrapped up my daughter and fell back and hit my head, back, and *** without trying to catch my fall. My daughter bumped her chin on my face and got a bruise, but otherwise was fine. I was hurting for a while but just felt bad my daughter got bruised.

And you don't even think about it, it's not a conscious choice.

Yer, having a baby kid!?!?!? Me too. Sweet. Need anything baby related?
Not after the phenomenon that happened in this thread!

Hey beer, want to come to a jazzfanz meet up tomorrow night?

Damn, I want to. I might be able to make it if I can score a babysitter as my wife is in San Francisco. Where's it at?
78th South and redwood at the all-star lanes bowling alley.
