I don't see how the Black Panthers "are" anything; they've been disbanded for something along the lines of two decades, and were never racist.

That you seem to think the KKK, and similar organizations, are somehow the main cause of people with darker skin having to change their behavior shows how little you really understand the reality of American culture. If the KKK and Sotrmfront were the real forces behind racism, that would be a cause for cheer.

I never said the KKK and similar orgs were the cause of anything. All I said is that the KKK is a rascist oraganization.

I'm sure he meant the "New" Black Panthers. As far as being racist, do a youtube search of New Black Panthers.

Uni, would you please give me your thoughts on the following, and if you believe it is racist thinking:

Trout's 10 point "White Without Boarders" plan

1. White people to be in control of any institution within their community.
2.The government to provide full employment for White people.
3. Land, mules or money for every White person in America.
4. Decent Housing is to be provided for Whites.
5. Proper education and history of Whites in America.
6. Free health care for Whites.
7. White people should be able to arm themselves against the government/police.
8. White people should be exempt from military service.
9. Retrying of cases for any White person that is imprisoned, by a jury of peers/White people. (because the Blacks totally F'd us over.)
10. Because of our history in the US, White people have the right to to all of the things above.

So, we agree that the KKK is not causitive to the society being racist, and that avoiding the KKK does not change the fact that people with darker skin still face racism daily. Excellent.

Why would I do a you tube search on a group that, for a time, was so extremem the Nation of Islam rejected them? One that was so dishonest some of the actual Black Panthers sucessfully sued to prohibit them from using the black panther name and logo?

It's almost as if you're completely ignorant of the details of the "New Black Panthers", and lumped them into th esame group as the Black Panthers, and in a thread where you are trying to claim that the left is just as racist as the right. Surely you are not that irony-impaired.

1. Who should control the institution within a community (as opposed to a public institution that extends outside that community) besides the members of that community? Why would that be racist?
2. Classic Marxism. Why is it racist?
3. A response to the racist oppression of "white" people.
4. Ibid.
5. A response to the fact that impoortant "white" have been ignored in the history books. You only read about "non-white" people in history.
6. Again, classic Marxism.
7. Isn't that basically what Jefferson said about the need for arms?
8. A response to the unfairness of the draft, whose burden fell disproportionately on "white" people.
9. A response the the presumption of guilt typically presumed by "non-white" people on "white" defendants.
10. These demands only make sense in the historical context, not because "white" people are inherently better.

You are welcome. No, I don't find that list racist, I find it responsive to the society that created it.

Do you think the Black Panthers would have opposed #2 or #6 for all people?

So, yes, I think the BPP would've opposed #2 and #6. And you're out of your liberal mind if you don't find that entire list racist.
