A Moment of Weakness

You have to wonder how many games we would have won had we not had the injuries we had. Exum's injury not included. With missing Gobert, and Favors for as long as we did. Is it too far fetched to think we could have won 8 more games?

The down side to having stars now days is most of them have that "win now" mentality. They want their participation trophy so to speak. No reason to put in hard work if you can Put all stars together to win now. And with that said, no star is going to stay long enough to work hard to win one here. So the only option we have is that one guy blossoms into a star, and we win a couple before he realizes he's a star and bolts .

I think it's pretty ridiculous to label someone a star and another player not a star. Stardom depends as much on the fit of the players around you as it does your ability.

There are players like jordan and Lebaron that are transcendent, but most of the other guys benefit from who they are surrounded by. Hell, even jordan had pippen and Lebron had wade and bish. These guys don't win titles alone.

I guarantee if we had another player as good as Hayward, they would both be considered stars. Even if favors was healthy for a full season with Hayward they would be considered all stars and probably make the all star team.

Not necessarily. I think I can tell that the brow and karl Anthony towns are stars even though their teams suck and they are not surrounded by good players or franchises. same with lillard.
