Just a scenario, would we take a huge salary if that was the asking price for a top-10 pick? Say an average-below average player with a salary of 2-years worth 22-23 mil is offered with a top-10 pick in exchange for our #23, would you do it?

Absolutely. Even if it is not this year. If we can get a top ten pick or an unprotected pick for that, you have to take it.

You could see that Kanter was making mistakes on defense, though I feel with a better coach he could be sufficient at good team defense. There were to many times that he became the scapegoat for loses too.

WE have depth, but not stars. It's a lot to give up, obviously taking a swing for the fences.

Burks
FA PG (or trade)/Neto
(I would try to trade Kanter for a PG + other assets).

Alternately, draft Exum, Wiggins or Parker depending on where the pick falls. And then there are different trade scenarios to fill the hole the Jazz would have at one position.

I just don't see Favors as an all-star PF/C or Burke as anything but a mid-tier PG.

Strangely, I agree. NONE of our players right now scream STAR!! alot of them scream PRETTY DAMN GOOD...we need a couple more than pretty damn good. Swing for the fences as he said. Obviously dont get rid of everyone, but neither Favors nor Trey are honestly all that special. We, as Jazzfanz, like them and see potential. But I think it isnt in the cards for either of them to be more than above average usually, great sometimes. We HAVE to have more than that.
