Wow, I have to watch more OKC games because I don't see Harden being better than either Stockton and Malone. Both of those guys could get their shots when they wanted to do so. John just decided to pass more. I think a recent ESPN poll asking if Harden was a MAX player amounted to him receiving about 38 percent saying he is a Max player. I might do Millsap and Hayward but throwing in the GS pick is giving too much. I think Harden is a $9-10 million dollar player. His production isn't that much more than Millsap. I would rather pay the MAX than trade Millsap and Hayward. The Jazz are trying to improve the team not make trades that are a wash statistically. Do not get me wrong I like Harden a lot but how much better are the Jazz if they lose both Millsap and Hayward. Not much at all and maybe just the same.

Well, I don't agree. The thing that might make harden better than stock or malone is that he can get a great shot all by himself. Malone, like all big men, needs an entry pass and can be easily double and tripled. Stock could get a shot but like most small guys cannot usually get a really good shot. The 2s and 3s like Harden, Wade, James, Kobe are the ones that can. harden looks like he is getting in the vicinity of those other guys, not quite the same level but close. He is a guy you can build a team around.

I would give them Sap and Hayward in a millisecond. Harden + FAvors >>>>>> Sap + Hayward.

I agree. Like Harden alot as a really good scorer who can create off the bounce - but he's nowhere near a Hall-of-Fame caliber player and may not even reach the level of play Deron Williams achieved at his peak in Utah. The biggest difference between Harden and the other elite scorers in the league is I'm not sure Harden can consistently score if he's not involved in a pick&roll from which his entry point of attack is outside the 3-point line. Great perimeter scorers have to be able to score not only in a 2-man game but also in 1-on-1 situations, and being able to attack from 17-feet is alot more effective than from 23'. Great scorer, hope Utah can make a run at him in FA in 2013, but not a top-10 franchise player you bet the mortgage on.
