Adrian Wojnarowki: Paul to Lakers for Gasol & Odom

Unsure if Okafor is involved in the deal. Seems like NOH is flipping Gasol to the Rockets for a lot of rebuilding pieces, so it works out for them. LAL just got REAL thin up front. Just think if they had Paul and not Odom and Gasol when the Jazz played them a few years ago. Wouldn't you think the Jazz would have had a better chance of winning those series?

I think he or Ariza would have to be part of the deal. Okafor is a good player, but he would match-up horribly with Bynum.

On the other hand, Gasol + Okafor are a perfect front-court pairing.

That will leave the Lakers with just the often injured Bynum to trade. Won't be enough to get Howard, I pray it won't be anyways.

Just glad they aren't going to get Dwight Howard. I don't really care that they have Paul if they have no big men.
As long as they don't include Bynum in the trade, they still have an important piece they could throw at Orlando.

FWIWI think Bynum is woefully overrated and I don't know what else they could include with him, but it's the Lakers who historically get bailed out in these types of deals and there are enough execs who value a 24-yr old 7-footer like Bynum for something crazy to happen. I won't rest easy until Howard ends up in NJ.

Ahh, The Rockets. Them acquiring Gasol makes sense. I'm sure McHale has a boner for Gasol.

Considering that Deron Williams generally just has sex with Chris Paul when they play, the Jazz could've been the nightmare matchup for the Lakers.

Wild world.

Wasn't Dwill always a matchup nightmare for the Lakers? We just gave them a match-up wet dream with Gasol vs Boozer and Odom vs. AK.

How the hell can this work financially? Even at taking back 150% of salary the Hornets can't take back this much.

I'm guessing Ariza and/or Okafor are also involved.

Houston would love to get Okafor to matchup with Gasol and I'm sure the Lakers would love ARiza back.
