AK to Nets?

Latest rumor on Hoopshype is AK negotiating with the Nets. Probably waiting on whether Howard trade goes through ... though latest says ownership blocked the trade, Howard apparently is adamant about being traded.

Orlando is dumb if they don't do something while Howard's value is potentially at the highest it ever will be, IMO, otherwise they may end up with nothing.

Orlando will trade him eventually. I seriously doubt Howard will stay in Orlando next season. I expect him to sign with the Nets to play along side DWill.

Bu' by.

I lost a lot of my AK fandom when he claimed that because Pau got a max contract that he deserved a Max Contract. Pau has several titles now AK, you don't.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Suck on that Deron.

Considering that Outlaw is there only "true" 3 right now, I would say AK would be a big upgrade for them. They also badly need a 4 as well. That will probably be Hump. Granted these guys could be used in a trade for Howard before the deadline.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Suck on that Deron.

A little harsher than I would have put it but....exactly.

Deron was always making little jabs at AK the player and insinuated that AK & his contract were the reason Jazz lost, or couldn't keep players (Brewer & Mathews) or improve. This would be irony at the highest if AK ended up in Jersey as the prized FA and even better it somehow prohibited the Nets from getting Howard.

AK for 3 million a year? Plenty of teams would glady suck on that

His unreliability to actually stay healthy and play well make him a risk at any cost.

In a season with so many games packed in so little time, I'd go for a more proven...

Of course, if AK is the BPA right now, I can maybe see it. I'm just glad that the Jazz won't have to worry about injuries (knock on wood). Boozer and AK are finally gone.

Are you insinuating that I'm a troll ... maybe not ... I was a member here before AK and a Jazz fan years before that.

Such as?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Cheer up. I'm getting word that Sloan is being brought on as his personal mentor/skills coach/translator. The reunion this morning on the practice court was tender, and the transcript from the recording is as follows:

Sloan: ...
AK: ...
Sloan: ...
AK: ...
Sloan: ... *cough*
AK: ...

Just like the good ol' days.

Really, though, with the Kings just now losing out on Jamal Crawford, I'm guessing their financial "Eye of Sauron" is now focused on working a deal with AK.

Jimmer launching 40-footers and AK grabbing the rebound for a put-back dunk attempt which is actually a through-the-legs twisting-and-twirling over-the-shoulder layup which hits the bottom of the rim. NBA-rrific!

If the Nets manage to get AK (for a lot less than he is asking right now) and then get Howard in trade that could be a pretty good team. D-Will, Morrow, AK, Hump and Howard would be a pretty tough starting lineup. And gives them some different looks with AK being able to shift to the 4 and Morrow to the 3
