Al Jefferson Appreciation Thread

In what will probably be his last game, let us give Al some well-earned praise on Al the person, or Al the player, if you wish

One of the best offensive big men in the NBA, used in a role that perhaps might not be best suited for him.

I pray that he goes to a successful organization, and is implemented into a squad that maximizes his skills, and minimizes his faults.

Cheers, Al. Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the professionalism.

Agreed, great guy and teammate. Also gave us some very nice moments on the court, but time to move on.

It never felt like he was in the best possible situation to succeed here.. but he still gave us some great games and did a lot to make something out of the years post Sloan and D-Will. Great player, even better person from the sounds of it. Thanks Al and good luck

this is for al jefferson the basketball player:
you should get flushed

you can search my post history i have NOTHING against Al Jefferson the person.
Nothing, he is a classact i have always stood by that.

sadly on the court he SUCKS and needs to be flushed.
but i'm not dealing with al jefferson the person.
i have to deal with jefferson the basketball player.
thats why al the negative "hate" throwing his way

I feel bad that he never really caught on here. I wonder if any fanbase will embrace him as their star.

I'll cheer for him when he visits. Hope everyone else does to.

Thanks Al for the memories.
You are a great guy and teammate. Thanks for helping out Enes and Derrick to learn the art of the low post play.
Good luck wherever you may end up!

Al is a solid pro. Showed he could score. Sometimes made an effort on defense and on the boards. Stayed healthy. Put up big numbers.

He at least came to play in his last game. Lets see how many teams want to break the bank for Millsap now. My guess is---not many.

I think the eulogies are premature. I expect Al to be back next year, if for no other reason than Kanter is injured. Add to that Al's performance down the stretch run and I think the FO would be afraid to go into next season without Al. The only thing that would keep him from returning would be his insistance upon a raise -- that won't happen.

I seriously think Lindsey wants a fresh rebuild. Al played great down the stretch and that helps his stock if the team wants to sign and trade him.

Al is a great teammate. In fact I fear how some players will react if we don't resign him. Would that have an affect on Kanter resigning? Something to think about.

At least Al cared, and he played really impressively down the stretch, and for that he should be cheered. He's also a cool guy (at least it seems). So I wish him best, nothin but the best
