What's new

Al Jefferson is heading to Charlotte on three-year deal $41 million

I'm so happy he's finally gone, but I'll celebrate when we hear a report like this about Millsap.

...Millsap is headed to the Spurs! That way when Popovich pulls Duncan from the game, Sap will still be there to grab that key defensive rebound!

While I am happy that AL got a new contract with another team, I don't get all the hate for AL. He only had good things to say about being in Utah,

....and he was paid handsomely for that and the other things he did! But we move on and he moves on! We have coachable young guys that need to be coached....and Big Al was pretty much set in his ways! If we are going to get back to "Jazz" basketball it had to be this way. He was here for what, two-three years? And we completed two-three pick and rolls with him in that time period!

HELL YEA. 2nd best news of the off season so far. Now just need to hear where Paul and Mo are leaving to.

the Jazz, who could also lose their other free agent big man, Paul Millsap. The two sides met in the opening minutes of free agency on Monday but Utah did not make an offer to Millsap.
I love this part of that article. It shows that the Jazz feel the need to meet with him but have not made him such a priority that they need to hurry and give him an offer. I see this as a sign that they are willing to let him go. Maybe it's just wishful thinking though.

Probably told his uncle..."you know the drill, go out and find market value and then come back to us if Paul wants to stay."

I couldn't be more happy to log on and find this news. What a great way to end a holiday. I liked big al as a person, probably top shelf kind of guy but his style of play just didn't work here. Best of luck with the new team dude!

I'm happy for Al and the Jazz. Al's a good guy and he's getting paid. Good for him.

And while I didn't hate him to the extent of Dutch, I didn't want to see him back. Not even because of him in general but because I want Kanter and Favors to get the vast majority of the minutes next season.

And I hope he doesn't get booed. I get why Jazz fans boo many players, but Al doesn't deserve it. Though according to Stern booing is a sign of respect!
