Alec Burks fractured ankle out mininum 6 weeks. Time to jump off a cliff

Millsap is one of the better facilitators, something this no-assist garbage offense desperately needs.

Has Hayward not been durable? Most games in a season he has missed is 10.

And the only people who get mad at it are the (in NAOS favorite dialect) "omzg teh alic bukks shuld be nomber wun optin!"

Hayward is great. I'm a big fan. And yes, he's been pretty durable. But I think if he went the opposite route, and kept light and lean, you'd be singing him praises for not putting pressure on his knees and focusing on his quickness. ;)
 
So what does this mean long-term for Alec? Is this plate something permanent? How will it affect his quickness and explosiveness?

I scanned this quickly. Says 6-8 weeks after surgery before putting weight on it, then 4 weeks of rehab -- damn, if he has surgery, he'll be out the rest of the season, not what was reported. But then we don't know the details or the seriousness of his injury, so I guess we'll have to wait and see what they say. The report said he would have the surgery done today. Anyone hear otherwise?
 
Burks is an acrobatic player who often falls down or lands awkwardly. I think he'll always miss several games per season with various ankle and shoulder sprains. And yes, his style of play increases the risk of more serious injuries. Tough for Alec, but Utah needs to eventually replace him with a 3&D type guy.

Must be of the minor type, based on the report, so this is encouraging.
