Alec Burks needs to start over Raja Bell

Alec Burks has been doing great and has proved that he deserves to start at shooting guard instead of Raja Bell. Tonight against Milwaukee he got 9 points, 6 assists, and 2 rebounds. Raja Bell is just garbage and does nothing to help the team. Let Burks start get some experience and he will put up some stats. Burks is really impressing me while Bell is doing the exact opposite. The youth needs to start and Burks is better than Bell anyway.

No Raja can start all season long for all I care. He is starting but is not getting many minutes. Burks is getting more minutes and Corbin has shown faith in him by sticking with him throughout the 4th. If all the young guns start for the Jazz, we will get into foul trouble early. I think Corbin is doing the sensible thing.

You know what else is crazy. I can't sub Bell out on my new NBA 2k12 game. He's stuck in the starting line up. This is a nightmare!

What's going on? Can someone help me?

Yes, Burks has played better than Bell but you pin him down against the Kobes, Wades, Granger and he'll get burned.
I'd rather he tear up the other team's bench which he sorta did today.

He's still not as good as I thought he'd be as bad a rookie as.

I haven't seen anything that makes me think Hayward can guard the 2 effectively/with consistency. If he could, then I think he'd already be starting at 2. I hope he develops this skill.

If its gonna be Hayward at the 2 (I mean, it's worth a shot), then I hope it's Evans that gets put in the starting lineup as the 5th option, leaving Howard as a scorer in the 2nd unit.

I think it's pretty likely that Burks will get the nod somewhere around the 15th game.

Bell is on our roster, and is a vet and his minutes are diminishing. Burks minutes are sufficient for now. I hope he earns it by the end of the year. I like our youngins

Bell got 12.4 min to Burks' 27.4 min.

Jazz fans should count their lucky stars and hope Ty sticks to this pattern. I hate Bell, but we need to be realistic about the situation. I'd rather have Raja starting and getting very few minutes, than bring him off the bench and get more. Forget about DNP CDs. That won't happen.

Looks like burks will get some more minutes with Howard possibly missing a game or two with his injury!

I thought these couple tweets from Hollinger during tonight's game were funny:

I'm on Jazz-Bucks now. Raja Bell has 11 points and six rebounds. No, not tonight -- that's his total in five games as a starter.

In two minutes, Alec Burks had four free-throw attempts. Which reminds me: Raja Bell has not drawn a free-throw attempt this season.

LOL, looks like commentators outside of Utah is starting to wake up to the fact that Raja suck. Bad.

Just what the hell are you talking about?

Start, shtart, whatever. He played 28 minutes to Bell's 13 tonite. I'm happy the rooks are seeing the floor. Bell does show the young guys how to play D by getting up close and personal on the opponent, something young guys tend to be shy about. Bell has not logged major minutes, so I'm fine with him < 15 minutes a game.

This and rep'd

Who the hell cares who starts and who doesn't right now. You have so many minutes that need to be distributed between our young kids and our "vets". If Burks keeps seeing near double minutes more than Raja, who cares when he gets the 20+ minutes.

I love the energy he brings off the bench, I like him where he's at.

Positives
Raja saw 13 minutes giving Burks plenty of time

Negatives
Raja saw 13 minutes, mentally he looks out of it, rather sign some d-league guy and start him.
